WORKSHOP TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before registering. By completing registration and payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms below.

Acceptance of Terms

Registration for In Good Company: An Enneagram Workshop (the "Workshop") constitutes your agreement to these Terms & Conditions in full. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not register.

Nature of the Workshop

The Workshop is an educational and experiential workshop exploring the Enneagram as a tool for self-awareness and personal growth. The Workshop is facilitated by Catherine McLaughlin and Marion Biglan in their capacity as Enneagram educators and coaches.

This Workshop is not psychotherapy, counseling, or a substitute for mental health treatment. No clinician-client, therapist-client, or counselor-client relationship is formed by participating in this Workshop, regardless of any facilitator's professional licensure or credentials held outside this event. Participants experiencing a mental health crisis or in need of clinical care should seek support from a licensed mental health professional or appropriate emergency services.

Registration and Payment

- Registration is confirmed upon receipt of full payment of $100 per participant, unless otherwise specified.

- Payment is due by July 12 and processed by Squarespace. Cash payment is available.

- Spots are limited and offered on a first-registered, first-confirmed basis.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

- Cancellations made on or before July 5 are eligible for a full refund minus a $10 administrative fee.

- Cancellations made after July 6 are non-refundable, with the exception of extenuating circumstances or illness.

- No-shows on the day of the Workshop are non-refundable.

- Participants may transfer their registration to another individual by notifying the hosts in writing at least a day in advance.

Workshop Changes or Cancellation by Hosts

We reserve the right to modify the Workshop schedule, format, or facilitators due to circumstances beyond our control (illness, venue issues, low enrollment, weather, etc.). If the hosts cancel the Workshop entirely, registered participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a rescheduled date.

Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability

Participation in the Workshop involves group discussion, self-reflection exercises, and the voluntary sharing of personal information and experiences. Such activities may, at times, bring up emotional responses.

By registering, you acknowledge that:

- Your participation is voluntary, and you may decline any individual exercise or activity at any time.

- You are solely responsible for assessing your own readiness to participate and for seeking your own professional support if needed, before, during, or after the Workshop.

- To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Catherine McLaughlin and Marion Biglan, and any venue, from any claims, liability, or damages arising from your participation in the Workshop, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Confidentiality and Group Agreements

What is shared by participants during the Workshop is considered confidential among the group. Participants agree not to disclose, discuss outside the Workshop, or attribute any personal stories, examples, or disclosures shared by other participants without their express permission.

This confidentiality agreement is a condition of participation but is not a substitute for, and does not carry, the legal protections of clinical confidentiality (such as HIPAA) that would apply in a therapeutic relationship.

Code of Conduct

Participants agree to engage respectfully with hosts and fellow participants. The hosts reserve the right to remove any participant, without refund, who engages in harassment, discrimination, disruptive behavior, or conduct that compromises the safety or experience of the group.

Health and Wellbeing

Please inform the hosts in advance of any condition (physical, emotional, or otherwise) that may require accommodation. If at any point during the Workshop you feel overwhelmed or unwell, you are encouraged to step out, take a break, or speak privately with a host. The hosts are not acting as your treating clinician and cannot provide emergency mental health intervention; in a crisis, please contact emergency services or a crisis line directly.

Photography, Video, and Audio

- Photos and/or video may be taken during the Workshop for promotional purposes. By attending, you consent to the use of your likeness unless you notify the hosts in writing prior to the event that you opt out.

- No photography, video, or audio recording of the Workshop by participants is permitted without prior written consent from the hosts, to protect the confidentiality of the group.

Intellectual Property

All materials provided during the Workshop (handouts, slides, frameworks, exercises) are the intellectual property of Catherine McLaughlin and Marion Biglan and are provided for personal use only. Materials may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial or teaching purposes without prior written permission.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Catherine McLaughlin or Marion Biglan be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the Workshop. Total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid for registration.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
